200,000 Tonnes of Storage Capacity. Built for the Food Security of a Nation.
Saudi Arabia imports more than 80% of its grain needs.
Every tonne that arrives at port must be received, cleaned, stored, and distributed; reliably, at scale, without interruption.
That is the infrastructure challenge CESCO EPC was engaged to solve at the Port of Jazan for UFC United Feed Company.
The project at a glance:
✔️ 200,000 mt of total storage capacity — cylindrical flat-bottom steel silos for wheat and barley, plus a 20,000 t flat warehouse dedicated to soya meal
✔️ 2 × 400 t/h intake lines, both operable simultaneously
✔️ 4 truck intake pits, each 14 m long, with integrated dust aspiration
✔️ Pre-cleaning section: rotary cleaners, magnetic grid separators, flow scales
✔️ Reclaiming and recycling at 2 × 250 t/h — serving bulk truck out-loading, bagging lines, and daily production bins
✔️ 4 bagging lines for 50 kg bags, with automatic bag evacuation
✔️ Complete silo fumigation, ventilation, temperature and level measurement systems
✔️ Full control system integration
The plant will handle wheat, barley, and soya meal simultaneously. Grain receiving and soya meal unloading lines operate concurrently. Storage silos support simultaneous loading, unloading, and bulk load-out.
This is not a warehouse. It is a logistics hub, engineered to absorb the full complexity of a high-throughput port terminal and deliver operational continuity from day one.
