3D Models. Load Cases. Eurocode Compliance. This Is Where a Grain Terminal’s Performance Is Decided
Structural engineers design performance. Every load case, every connection detail, every finite element calculation serves one purpose: ensuring the facility behaves as engineered, under full grain load, under wind pressure, under seismic conditions, for the full duration of its operating life.
At CESCO EPC, structural design is conducted in-house using 3D FE software. We do not outsource the calculation phase. We run it ourselves because the structural model is where design decisions are made.
For a grain terminal, the structural engineering stage covers:
✔️ Dead and live loads across the full conveying line and auxiliary equipments
✔️ Wind and seismic load combinations per Eurocode
✔️ Fatigue assessment for rotating equipment supports
The 3D model is a calculation environment. The renders you see in the carousel are outputs from the structural model, the same model used to produce the fabrication drawings for our workshop in our facilities.
This is the stage most clients never see. It is the stage that determines whether a plant performs for five years or thirty.
