Expanding a Live Terminal in Latin America

How we added a conveying system in Jalisco, Mexico, without stopping the grain flow.

Brownfield expansions are the ultimate test of engineering precision. The challenge isn’t just building; it’s integrating new high-capacity systems without paralyzing existing operations.

We proved this capability in Jalisco, Mexico.

CESCO EPC successfully completed the supply and integration of advanced material handling systems for a massive 70.000-ton silo expansion for one of our clients.

The Challenge:
The client needed to enhance the operational capabilities of an Inland Grain Terminal specializing in wheat. The goal was to drastically increase throughput while ensuring the existing infrastructure kept running smoothly.

The Solution:
Adhering to our principle of “Smart Concept, Easy Operation”, we engineered a robust system designed for heavy-duty performance and long-term sustainability.

Key Project Specs:
✅ High Throughput:
Installation of systems with a conveying capacity of 850 t/h.

✅ Advanced Tech: Integration of RBC Roller Belt Conveyors \(RBC1000E\) for smooth, dust-free transport and robust Chain Conveyors \(CC900\).

✅ Complex Geometry: Successful implementation of a 14° inclined chain conveyor to bridge the gap between old and new storage.

The Result:
A seamless integration. Our team collaborated closely with the client to ensure the new conveying systems connected perfectly with the existing infrastructure, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity from Day 1.

Whether you are building a greenfield terminal or upgrading a working facility, CESCO EPC’s engineering ensures your investment delivers results immediately.
